Sally (fka Eunice)

Sally was found in Bent Tree.  She was probably born in early 2002.  She is just a little tom-boy.  She is very spirited and loves to play.  Sally is all love and wants to be loved all of the time - and she gives much love and kisses.  She is leash trained and gets along with other dogs - when she wants to play but she does need her space at times too. Beauty (!)

Beauty is a black lab/chow mix.  It is estimated she was born 2/2002. She is up to date on her shots and has been spayed.  She is a great dog, loves playing with other dogs and is good with people.  (posted 8/24/02)

Gabby

Gabby needs sponsors for her Hip Dysphasia surgery if you can help with the cost of the surgery it would be greatly appreciated.

Gabby is a 4-5 month old Shepherd mix (possibly with some Collie).   She was found wearing a collar in the Ivy Ridge Subdivision but no one has claimed her.  She is sweet buy a little shy at first.  She was found on 9/23. (posted 9/25/02).  UPDATE: Gabby is having some problems with her leg - we are getting her checked out. Gabby has a dislocated back leg.  She will be having surgery to get it fixed and is expected to make a full recovery, but because of the old injury she will never be a good runner.  (updated 12/15/02)

Update:  Gabby has Hip Dysplasia.  We have had one side operated on and the vet said the other may need surgery in 4-5 years but at this time looks ok. Gabby is a large dog as well and weighs about 70 pounds. (updated 2/18/03)

Bingo

Bingo is a mixed breed of every sort- we are still working on what his breeding may possibly be but we are sure he has genes from about any breed so he should fit the bill for many people.  He is very sweet and playful.  He was probably born late May 2002 and is current on shots and has been neutered.  He is on both HW prevention as well as Flea prevention.  Bingo is a dominant dog and would do best as an only dog or perhaps in a home with a submissive female. Bruster (!)

Bruster (fka Woody) is the last of a litter of that was dumped back in January.  We estimate he was born in early November 2002.  The litter looked to be boxer mixes (possibly with Australian shepherd).  He is up to date on his shots and will be neutered 3/28.  He is a very friendly boy. (posted 1/7/2003) He was adopted but the family was unable to keep him because of time restrictions. (updated 3/18/03)

Rosie 

Rosie and her puppies were found under a shed.  Rosie is up to date and has been spayed.  She needs to be an inside dog with a fenced in yard.  She is WONDERFUL, very laid back and friendly but doesn't jump up on you.  She is crate trained but prefers the dog bed.  She's a stock dog and she may have a problem with her back leg but she doesn't seem to have any pain.  She will make a great dog for someone with a  quiet, easy-paced life.  She has a very sweet temperament and is good with kids but we would prefer her to go to a home without young children at this time. My name is Chip, and I am a 3 year old male Golden Retriever mix weighing about 60 lbs.  I was found on the road exhausted from my travels with my brother Dale.  I love playing with other dogs and children. Lucky Dog

COPPER NEEDS A SPONSOR FOR HER EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT

Hi, my name is Copper and I was probably born in the summer of 2002.  I am a Red Bone Hound mix.  I was scared when I went to my new foster home and I escaped and went to look for a forever home by myself - but I got hit by a car.  I am currently recovering from a broken pelvis and tail as well as some cuts.  My pelvis will heal with some time but if there is nerve damage done to my tail it may need to be removed.  I am up to date on my vaccinations and have been spayed.  (posted 4/22/03)

Lady is a 1 year old German/Shepherd/Collie mix.  She weighs about 55 pounds and is black and tan.  She is housebroken, leash trained and knows her manners.  She loves other dogs and is ok with cats.  Lady is good with children and females but is a bit scared of men due to past abuse.  Needs to be spayed. Syrol is a Golden/lab mix.  He is deep yellow with gold eyes.  He weighs about 55 pounds and is about 2 years old.  Syrol does not get along with other male dogs but is ok with females.  Syrol is VERY ENERGETIC and is good with older kids.  He is not good with cats and needs to be neutered. Clarke, Big Boy and Dennis

These three brothers, Clarke, Big Boy and Dennis,  are Great Pyrenees mixes.  These guys are 12 years old and have all been neutered.  Unfortunately their owner travels a lot and they have been getting bored and seeking adventure outside their fenced-in yard in Atlanta.  Therefore, we are looking for a new home for these big guys.  Although they do not have to go together as they have been together for soooooo long it would be nice.   (posted 6/9/03)

Dalmations

2 Dalmations - a 4 year old male and a 3 year old female.  Both up to date on their shots and fixed.  They need to go to a home together.  Their owners are truck drivers and they are not able to take the dogs along so they are left alone for periods of time.  This is why they need to give up their pets. Herbie is a male basset hound about 6 years old.  He weighs between 25-30.  He had been housebroken and has been neutered.

Petey is a male basset/chow mix.  He is 5 years old and 30 pounds.  He is red and the size of a basset with a coat like a chow.  Neutered

Buddy is a German Shepherd/Hound mix.  He is 3 years old and 45 pounds. He has the German Shepherd coat with hound body style.  He has been neutered.

Kent is a mutt about 3 years old and 85 pounds. He is black with a white start on chest.  He needs a fenced in area and room to run.  He needs to be neutered.

Small Senior Dog needs home

The other 2 are small mixed breeds - black and black/white.  They are about 6 months old (OGU)

All of these puppies have been exposed to Parvo back in January but have never had any symptoms - the vet has cleared them for adoption - They have not had any shots. (OGU) (posted 3/13/03)

Beagle mixes

Puppies need new homes.  There are 10 puppies (black/white).  Their mom is a beagle but dad was a stray that got under the fence. The puppies were born late December.  They have been wormed but have not received shots.  (OGU) (posted 3/15/03)

Harley

Harley is a Yellow lab type.  She was abandoned in Milledgeville back in November.  She needs a home with lots of running acreage, as she doesn't like being in a small fenced area.  She is housebroken and understands many commands.  She loves other dogs and wants to play with cats but they don't always want to play with her.  She is up to date on vaccinations and appears to have been spayed.
