This Veterinary Hospital is owned by Pickens Animal Rescue, Inc. of Jasper, GA. Profits go towards caring for the Pickens Animal Rescue animals as well as providing discounted services to all rescue groups. We are a day time and after hours clinic; but we don’t charge after hours fees as a community service to all pet owners and rescue groups. The clinic has state of the art digital x-ray, full service lab, surgery suite, and isolation room for treatment of contagious illnesses. Our staff shows compassion and understanding in caring for your pet while offering the latest in treatment options. We look forward to working with you and your pets!

Our Doctors and Staff invite you to stop by and tour the clinic and see what a difference we are making in the community. The office was designed to be comfortable for both pets and pet owners, to offer state-of -the-art equipment such as digital x-ray and lab, and to be available to service your pet’s needs when other clinics are closed.
Our Doctors
Michelle Cox, DVM
Michelle Cox is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical training in Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University. Dr. Cox mostly practices on dogs and cats, but also sees sheep, goats, rabbits and the occasional ferret. She has a special interest in cardiology, emergency medicine, and end of life care.
Dr. Cox completed her undergraduate studies at Berry College where she majored in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry. While attending Berry College she became involved with Southeastern Guide Dogs and went on to train six guide dogs for the visually impaired.
Dr. Cox currently lives in the Jasper area with her fiance’, their 3 dogs and 11 chickens. In her free time she enjoys hiking, canoeing, gardening, and knitting.
